Mischaela has been working in the medical field over 10 years and earned her Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from OSF Saint Francis College of Nursing In 2017. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. With full practice authority licensure in Illinois and Kansas. She is certified in the Potenza microneedling with radio frequency and the Elite IQ  laser machines by Cynosure,  the VI peels through Vitality Institute, PCA chemical peels through PCA, IV hydration and vitamin injections through ENP course, and Dermaplaning through DermaplanePRO. She has completed WorldLink training for hormone replacement and thyroid optimization. She has also completed training at the Aesthetic Medical Educators Training, and Rana Kenelly training courses for neuromodulators and dermal fillers. She is the owner of Emerge MediSpa & Wellness Center in Jacksonville, IL.

My passion for healthy skin began as a teen struggling with acne. Not only was it embarrassing, but it was painful. Prescription medications weren’t working and were just drying out my skin. I wanted solutions for myself and wanted to help others. I decided to specialize in skin care. After obtaining my Cosmetology degree, then my Cosmetology instructor’s license, I worked as an esthetician and an Esthetics instructor for a decade. While I LOVED being an esthetician and teaching, I wanted to be able to provide more advanced treatments for my clients. Deciding to transition into medical esthetics with the goal to work in a Medi-spa, I pursued my nursing degree. After graduating and gaining over another decade of experience in outpatient dermatology and plastic surgery clinics, I am proud to now be a part of the Emerge Medispa and Wellness Center team and provide exceptional  care in a healing environment with advanced therapies that make a true difference in people’s lives.

Jen serves as the Office Manager at Emerge Medispa & Wellness Center and is often one of the first friendly faces to welcome you through our doors. She also works closely with patients at the front desk, helping create a seamless, welcoming experience from start to finish.

With a caring personality and strong attention to detail, Jen helps keep Emerge running smoothly while ensuring every patient feels comfortable, valued, and supported. Whether she’s coordinating schedules, answering questions, or assisting patients with their appointments, Jen is dedicated to making each visit to Emerge a positive and personalized experience.
